Part of the Schoenberg Symphonic Edition. Premiered by DR Koncerthuset. Completed in 1938, Kol Nidre sets the traditional Jewish prayer for narrator, chorus, and orchestra. The work was commissioned for a synagogue in Los Angeles following Schoenberg's return to Judaism.
