Lili Boulanger’s D’un matin de printemps (1917) has become one of her most frequently performed works, appearing in versions for violin and piano, violin and orchestra, and piano trio. Since its posthumous premieres in the early 1920s, the piece has remained a popular choice for recital and orchestral programmes, admired for its vibrant rhythms, lyrical melodies, and distinctive impressionistic colours.
